15 WAYS I USE ESSENTIAL OILS IN THE KITCHEN

Have you ever wanted to try cooking with essential oils?

But it felt overwhelming or that you need ideas to get the "wheels turning." :)

Well, I've listed out below over 15 ways that I use them in my kitchen and give you a couple of links and some fantastic FREE e-books.

Did you know doTERRA Essential Oils can be internalized?

dōTERRA’s oils are a certified therapeutic grade, and some can be used internally. However, not all of the oils should be taken internally! If the back of the bottle has a “Supplement Facts” box, then this oil can be ingested. Otherwise, only use aromatically or topically.

When an essential oil is ingested, it directly enters the bloodstream via the gastrointestinal tract, where they're transported throughout the rest of the body. Essential oils are readily transported to all body organs, including the brain, making this form of use very beneficial, especially if you want to support your gut health, immune system, or your body's ability to detox.

Now, if you're wondering how many drops are safe to take internally, here's a chart that's a great guide.

Also, here's an in-depth ebook that you'll love if you're interested in learning more.

12 Essential Oils BEST for Cooking!

These 12 bottles are ones that I leave in my kitchen all of the time:

· Fennel

· Ginger

· Rosemary

· Lime

· Peppermint

· Marjoram

· Basil

· Lemongrass

· Oregano

· Cardamom

I only need 2-3 drops per oil per recipe to get the right flavor, and I rarely purchase dried herbs anymore because I use the oil instead.

Spice up your beverages

Here are some fun ways I use essential oils in my drinks :

  • If you're a coffee drinker, add 1-2 drops of Cardamom Essential Oil. It will help to increase an enzyme that helps metabolize and detox coffee. I also love to add Cinnamon Essential Oil to help stabilize the blood sugar and curb any cravings for something sweet.

  • Create a "skinny drink" by adding two drops of Lemon or Slim and Sassy Essential Oil every 25oz. Bottle of water. The Slim and Sassy is a metabolic blend that stimulates metabolism and supports blood sugar regulation. The Lemon Essential Oil is very supportive of detoxification and helps increase energy!

  • Add any citrus essential oil to a glass of soda water with a few lemons, lime, and orange wedges for a healthy pop.

  • One of my favorite summer cocktails is 1 part Hendricks gin topped off with soda water, two Wild Orange essential oil drops, Wild Orange essential oil, and freshly muddled blackberries.

  • Want a tasty and healthy margarita? Use Blanco tequila (100% agave), organic limeade, Lime Essential Oil, and a splash of sparkling water. Top it off with Celtic sea salt and an organic line wedge.
